Zelensky Blasts Trump and Vance on U.S. Tour

(ProsperNews.net) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently criticized former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Senator JD Vance. Zelensky took aim at them in interviews with American media while visiting an ammunition factory in Pennsylvania. Interestingly, he reportedly arrived in the U.S. on an Air Force jet, funded by American taxpayers.

In a detailed interview with The New Yorker, Zelensky expressed his concern about the future of U.S. support for Ukraine as President Biden’s term winds down. He criticized Trump, claiming that even though Trump says he could stop the war, he doesn’t understand how complex it really is. Zelensky explained, “The more you look at this war, the harder it is to understand. I’ve seen many leaders who thought they knew how to end it, but it’s not that simple.”

Zelensky also took a jab at Vance, calling him “too radical” ahead of a potential meeting with Trump. Vance has suggested that Ukraine may need to give up some of its territories to end the war, a plan Zelensky finds unacceptable. Zelensky stressed that Ukraine shouldn’t be asked to sacrifice its land to stop the conflict. He argued this idea doesn’t align with international law or justice, and that such a plan wouldn’t even guarantee peace.

While these interviews stirred controversy, Zelensky’s visit to Pennsylvania added fuel to the fire. Reports suggest that he toured a factory producing ammunition while in the swing state. The fact that he flew in on a U.S. military jet has not gone unnoticed, especially among critics like Donald Trump Jr. He questioned why a foreign leader, supported by American taxpayer money, would come to the U.S. and criticize the Republican ticket.

Trump Jr. also pointed out the awkward timing of this visit. Just days before, someone obsessed with Ukraine had allegedly attempted to assassinate his father. “It’s disgraceful,” he said.

Meanwhile, Trump himself has been vocal about how he would end the Russia-Ukraine war. He claims that if he had been president, Russia would have never attacked Ukraine. Trump has repeatedly criticized the Biden administration for its handling of foreign policy and promises to bring an end to the conflict.
