(ProsperNews.net) – A Kentucky woman, Torilena Fields, 32, is facing serious charges after allegedly dismembering her mother, Trudy Fields, whose body parts were found scattered in and around their home. Fields has been charged with obstructing governmental operations, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse, and could face additional charges as the investigation unfolds.
According to Kentucky State Police, officers responded to a call on Wednesday afternoon after a contractor, who had arrived at the residence on Brierly Ridge Road in Mount Olivet, made a gruesome discovery. The contractor, who had come to perform work for Trudy Fields, reported that she didn’t answer the door. Upon walking around to the back of the house, he found a pile of hair that appeared to belong to her, along with a blood-stained mattress and drag marks leading into the yard.
The contractor followed the drag marks and came across the dismembered body of Trudy Fields lying in the grass. Police were alerted and arrived shortly after, discovering the horrifying scene, which included a blood-stained mattress, a stick covered in blood, and another mattress on the porch. Some body parts were found on the mattress, while others were inside a pot in the oven.
The man told troopers that he had last seen Trudy Fields the day before and that she and her daughter, Torilena, had been the only two at the home. He also noted that Torilena had been acting confrontational and was “casting spells” on them.
When police arrived, Torilena Fields refused to leave the house, and the Kentucky State Police Special Response Team had to use tear gas to remove her from the residence around 11 p.m. She was found with blood on her face, hands, and clothing.
Following a search of the home, troopers discovered additional human remains, including body parts cooked in a stainless steel pot in the oven. Torilena Fields is currently being held at the Bourbon County Detention Center, while authorities continue their investigation into this disturbing case.
