White House Unaware of 9/11 Plea Deal Until Day Before, No Comment

(ProsperNews.net) – Seemingly caught unawares, White House National Security Communications Adviser John Kirby told reporters that a special plea deal for accused 9/11 terrorists and alleged masterminds wasn’t even something the White House was aware of until the news broke on Thursday, August 1.

A corporate pundit interviewing Kirby about the deal highlighted that the three defendants orchestrated the 9/11 attacks, resulting in the deaths of over 3,000 Americans and countless economic damage.

Kirby told audiences that the deal was conjured by a secretive “independent military authority” suggesting that Biden wasn’t actually in charge of the military as Commander in Chief. Kirby said the White House was totally unaware of the deal or the proceedings that led to it and couldn’t comment, conveniently, other than to suggest that the national security people are going to have a chat with the Department of Defense about the matter.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin appeared to chastise the Pentagon representative Susan Escallier, a retired brigadier general and Biden administration appointee, for approving the deal and revoked it days later.

Austin issued a public memo highlighting that he was personally assuming responsibility for the situation and revoked the agreement after popular condemnation from the public. Austin will be the ultimate authority to authorize any future plea deals with the accused terrorists. Pre-trial agreements were also withdrawn on the basis of his authority.

Conservative commentators were quick to point out that it was unclear whether Austin knew about the deal before its unpopularity became apparent. Escallier was also not fired or otherwise punished other than having a public tongue-lashing from her boss.

Even some Democrats suggested the deal was odd, Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) told the British press that he was “very concerned” about the deal and suggested the need for additional scrutiny. Republicans exploded suggesting that these people were responsible for the deaths of thousands and that any deal with them was a ridiculous insult to their memory.

Trump-running mate & Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) called the deal a disgrace and suggested it was offensive that they were dealing with terrorists when there are other people deserving of grace from governmental authority.
