(ProsperNews.net) – Republicans claim that John Kerry used a second and pseudonymous email address while he was Secretary of State. Whistleblowers from inside the Obama administration reportedly told GOP Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson that Kerry used the email address [email protected] in an official capacity, and the Senators are now questioning whether he complied with records laws and regulations.
Senators Grassley and Johnson wrote to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, asking if Kerry complied with regulations and noting GOP concerns about the State Department’s apparent lack of compliance with records laws, including under Hillary Clinton’s leadership.
The letter states that Clinton “caused the mishandling of highly classified information” but was exonerated by “the Obama/Biden administration’s FBI.”
The Senators furthermore requested that the State Department supply copies of emails communicated to and from the [email protected] address. They questioned if the account was ever used to communicate with foreign governments and what information such emails contained.
This is the second letter from Grassley and Johnson to Blinken in weeks. The two Senators also wrote to Secretary Blinken raising concerns about allegations that Kerry interfered with and prevented FBI investigations into Iranian nationals in the United States.
Whistleblowing FBI agents reportedly explained that they were instructed to halt their inquiries until President Obama’s negotiations with Iran were complete. Obama made a deal with the Iranian regime, pledging that some sanctions would be lifted in exchange for Iran’s commitment not to develop nuclear weapons.
The letter claimed that the DOJ could have moved forward with terrorism cases, but the State Department blocked them. One such case involved an individual on the FBI’s terror watchlist, but the federal agency “lost the opportunity” to arrest him. Other suspects returned to Iran, and Crossley and Johnson presented evidence that federal agents discussed ways of sidestepping State Department obstruction to pursue them.
In 2016, the letter further notes, that then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch met with Mr. Kerry to register her objections to his interference with criminal and terror-related investigations.
