(ProsperNews.net) – A US military veteran took illegal migration prevention into her own hands and erected a new section of the southern US border. Marine Corps vet Kate Monroe is a Congressional candidate seeking to unseat Democrat Mike Levin in California. Monroe tweeted that she had put her life on the line to serve America once before and was willing to do it again. She added, however, that she is disappointed that so few have “the guts” to step up and protect US territorial integrity.
Ms. Monroe took 400 feet of razor wire that she bought on Amazon to a border gap near San Diego infamous for migrant crossings facilitated by ruthless cartels in Mexico. Known as the “San Judas Break,” it is around 80 miles east of San Diego and is only about four feet wide. The vet posted a video to social media and noted the small size of the gap, adding she was appalled that nobody in authority had bothered to close it. “I want Americans to realize you don’t have to wait for someone else to do what you can do,” she said.
Media reports claim that around 3,000 migrants pass through the small opening weekly, and some have already removed previous barriers.
In a video for Fox News, Kate Monroe demonstrated how easy it is for people to come to the US without permission. She exclaimed that she felt the anger and frustration of millions of Americans as migrants, drugs, and terrorists poured into the United States unhindered.
Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents supported Ms. Monroe and helped her find the border gap when she approached them, explaining she is a military vet trying to protect her country. “They aren’t allowed to secure the border but were happy I was there to do it,” she said.
National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd told Fox last year that he could not do his job under President Biden and said the border situation is “insane.”
