Trump’s Border Czar Declares All Illegals Eligible for Deportation

(ProsperNews.net) – Tom Homan, tapped by President-elect Donald Trump to serve as the new border czar, made it clear in a Fox News interview Tuesday that the upcoming administration plans to take a tough stance on illegal immigration. According to Homan, every individual in the U.S. unlawfully is at risk of deportation.

Homan stressed that initial efforts will focus on removing individuals who pose threats to public safety and national security. He criticized Democrat politicians who refuse to cooperate with federal immigration officers, particularly in sanctuary cities. “What politician—mayor or governor—says, ‘I want public safety threats to remain in my community’? Give me a break,” he said.

Sanctuary policies, Homan argued, harm immigrant communities the most by releasing dangerous criminals back into the same neighborhoods. He also noted that when Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers conduct targeted operations, they often encounter other undocumented individuals and may deport them as well. “When we show up to get the bad guys, we find others, and they’re going too,” he stated.

Homan strongly opposed the idea of offering mass amnesty, warning that such measures would only exacerbate the border crisis. “If there are no consequences, they’ll keep coming,” he said. “Amnesty tells millions of people they can cross illegally, lose their case, and still get to stay. That’s a broken system.”

He reiterated that all individuals who cross the border unlawfully have committed a crime under U.S. law and must be held accountable. “The law is clear. We’ll give you your due process, but if you’re ordered removed, you will leave. Period,” Homan declared.

Drawing a parallel to other laws, he added, “I don’t go 200 miles per hour to get here because I don’t want a ticket. I don’t lie on my taxes because I don’t want to go to jail. It’s the same principle: breaking immigration law isn’t okay.”

As the Trump administration prepares to take office in January, Homan’s remarks suggest a return to stricter immigration enforcement, with a focus on both criminal offenders and broader policy changes aimed at deterring illegal border crossings. For those in the U.S. unlawfully, the message is unambiguous: the new administration plans to act decisively.
