Trump Supporter Attacked for Wearing 2024 Hat

(ProsperNews.net) – A man in Bath, New York, is accused of attacking a stranger simply for wearing a Trump 2024 hat, according to local police. Officers from the Village of Bath Police Department were called to an altercation at Tops Friendly Markets on West Morris Street around 10:00 a.m. on Friday.

Police reports indicate that 60-year-old Robert Yott approached an unknown individual wearing a Trump 2024 hat and became aggressive. Yott allegedly punched the man repeatedly in the mouth and head, leaving the victim with broken teeth and a bloody mouth. According to police, this appears to be an unprovoked, random act of violence, as Yott had no prior connection to the victim.

After the attack, Yott was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was later transported to the Steuben County Jail, where he awaits arraignment.

This is not the first time pro-Trump merchandise has sparked controversy as Election Day approaches. Recently, two American women were removed from a flight from London’s Heathrow Airport to Austin, Texas, after a confrontation reportedly tied to one of them wearing a Make America Great Again (MAGA) hat.

In another incident, a woman wearing a MAGA hat at the first game of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees faced harsh online criticism. Sitting in the front row, the woman became the target of angry social media comments labeling her with offensive language simply for her choice of headwear.

These incidents come as former President Donald Trump campaigns against Vice President Kamala Harris in a highly charged race for the White House. Trump himself has faced significant security threats, having survived two assassination attempts—one in July and another in September. The political climate remains tense as both supporters and opponents of the candidates express strong views.
