Trump Launches $400 Sneakers at Sneaker Con

(ProsperNews.net) – Donald Trump’s campaign team has released a $400 pair of sneakers decorated with an American flag and a large T. The shoes first appeared at Sneaker Con, a Philadelphia convention that promotors describe as “The Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth.” Labeled the “Never Surrender High Tops,” the sneakers are promoted on a Trump-owned website as a “rally cry in shoe form.” They are accompanied by another set of less expensive shoes, a cologne for $99, and a perfume at the same price.

“This is something I’ve been talking about for 12 years, 13 years, and I think it’s going to be a big success,” the former President said. The shoes are sold by CIC Ventures LLC, which Mr. Trump owns, but the website nevertheless states that they are not sold or designed by Donald J. Trump and are not related to any political campaign.

The sneakers are already subject to online auction competitions as CIC promotes them as rare, with only 1,000 pairs available. Furthermore, ten random pairs will be signed by Trump. On eBay, one pair was auctioned at almost $5,000, and another signed pair at $9,000 and counting.

The former President is known for his controversial promotional merchandise, and before Christmas, he sold off the suit he wore while his mugshot was taken at a Georgia prison, as well as shirts and mugs containing the infamous photo. He also sold Christmas wrapping paper and socks to commemorate his historic Peach State prison visit.

The new sneakers were released as a New York court slapped the former President with another huge fine. Having recently been ordered to pay more than $83 million to author E. Jean Carroll in a defamation suit, Judge Arthur Engoron fined Trump $355 million for fraud after finding him guilty of misrepresenting the value of his assets.

Mr. Trump told supporters that the cases and judgments are politically motivated, adding, “Our court system is such a mess.”
