Trump Interview by Musk Surpasses 1 Billion Views on X

(ProsperNews.net) – Former President Donald Trump’s conversation with billionaire SpaceX founder Elon Musk turned out to be one of the most listened-to conversations in history and generated almost 1 billion views on Musk’s social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, the use of which was a key element to Trump’s victory in 2016 while a boon in 2020 as the former owners censored the Hunter Biden laptop story.

Trump spoke with Musk for over two hours on an “X space,” which is a feature on the platform where users may speak to one another on a life platform. A “space” is only audio, so doesn’t show video of the speakers, it can only be participated in by phone (although it can be listened to on a computer), and up to ten speakers at a time can have the microphone. The Trump/Musk conversation only featured the two of them, but it became the most popular broadcast of all time on the platform.

As perhaps the two most famous men in the West tune in on their phones from different locations – Trump at a desk in Mar-a-Lago and Musk at a “friend’s ranch in Wyoming” – there were technical difficulties in the beginning. Whether it was due to the high amount of people tuning in, an error, or a deliberate attempt to interrupt the conversation, Musk and the team at X eventually got it going.

The two entrepreneurs spoke about several topics, from the southern border, the resulting immigration crisis under the Biden-Harris administration, the failed attempted assassination against Trump, and why they believe Vice President Kamala Harris would be the wrong direction for the country.

According to X, the original post of the conversation received 73 million views in just three hours, and about 4 million posts were made about the conversation within that same period, generating almost a billion views in total. Musk explained that the number is the views of the conversation plus the “subsequent discussion by other accounts.”

Musk jumped right into the most touchy topic right from the start and asked Trump about the assassination attempt on July 13 in Butler County, Pennsylvania, after which Musk officially endorsed Trump for president. Musk said that one could not “fake bravery” under the circumstances Trump was in and that the former president’s reaction was a big factor in determining his endorsement.
