(ProsperNews.net) – More than a dozen Congressional Medal of Honor recipients have publicly endorsed former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race. In a statement, 15 Medal of Honor recipients, who served in conflicts ranging from Iraq and Afghanistan to Vietnam, expressed their strong support for Trump, highlighting their shared belief in patriotism, national security, and American values.
“We, 15 recipients of the Medal of Honor, having served this great nation in wars, support and endorse Donald J. Trump for President of the United States,” they wrote. The group emphasized that American citizenship is a “revered privilege” and that the nation’s strength stems from a patriotic citizenry and the sacrifices of the armed forces.
The statement stressed the importance of integrity, constitutional values, and secure borders, calling these principles essential to preserving American freedom. “We believe valor is great fortitude when faced with profound adversity,” they wrote, underscoring their deep commitment to the U.S. Constitution and the pledge of allegiance.
They also touched on the need to protect free and fair elections, which they see as fundamental to American democracy. In a subtle critique of Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, they addressed “stolen valor” accusations that Walz has faced for allegedly not completing certain trainings before his battalion was deployed to Iraq. “Fabricating military service is beneath the dignity of a veteran and demeaning to those who have served honorably in the Armed Forces,” they stated.
The Medal of Honor recipients concluded by reaffirming their belief in American greatness and their full endorsement of Trump: “We believe the United States of America is the greatest nation the world has ever imagined. We believe in Donald Trump.”
In contrast, the Harris-Walz campaign highlighted their own support from military leaders. In September, they touted endorsements from over 700 national security leaders and former military officials. However, they declined to comment on Trump’s endorsements when contacted by Fox News Digital.
