Trump Disqualified from Presidency & is an “Imminent Danger” To Americans, According to Luttig

(ProsperNews.net) – According to a former federal judge, Donald Trump is disqualified from the presidency under the Constitution and is an “imminent danger” to United States citizens. According to retired judge J. Michael Luttig, Trump isn’t eligible to run for the presidency under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

Luttig refers to the insurrection clause featured in the 14th Amendment, which prevents anyone guilty of committing an insurrection from running for public office. Luttig claims that a conviction for insurrection isn’t required to disqualify a potential presidential candidate from the election, and thus accusations are enough. Since Trump faces accusations of inciting an insurrection on January 6, 2021, under Luttig’s claims, he isn’t eligible to run for office in the United States anymore.

Luttig also claims that Donald Trump is an “imminent danger” to the country and shouldn’t hold public office anymore. According to the retired judge, Trump and his allies violated the United States Constitution by attempting to subvert the 2020 presidential election. They will do so again should the former president secure a second term, Luttig believes.

Despite Luttig’s claims, Trump remains the most popular Republican candidate in next year’s presidential election and is more popular than other candidates, including incumbent President Joe Biden. Trump is also the subject of multiple legal cases, including a civil fraud case and several criminal cases in different states. Among the accusations against the former president are claims that Trump mishandled classified documents and committed fraud to misrepresent his business’ profitability to investors.

Trump rejected any plea deals offered to him regarding the cases, claiming he is innocent and will be found not guilty by a jury of his peers. Although Trump’s legal battles are still developing, Luttig claims the mere accusation of insurrection is enough to disqualify him from the presidential election.

Luttig’s statements come as Trump is the subject of a lawsuit in Colorado, which would prevent him from appearing on state ballots if successful. Other states are considering similar lawsuits to prevent Trump’s presidential efforts but will likely only take action—if they do—after the 2024 election officially begins. Trump claims the lawsuits are equivalent to election interference and remains adamant he will win the 2024 presidential race.
