(ProsperNews.net) – According to CNN’s electoral map, Donald Trump is increasingly likely to win the White House race. The left-leaning network launched its “Road to 270” projection map in January, and some conservative outlets mocked it in March for failing to keep the map updated and reflect growing support for Mr. Trump. Nevertheless, CNN has finally revised its projections, showing that Trump will likely regain the Oval Office even without crucial swing states such as Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
The “Road to 270” refers to the number of Electoral College votes needed for victory, and the latest forecasts show Trump at 272 and Biden falling behind with just 225. Political commentator John Nolte continued to ridicule CNN for describing Arizona as a “toss-up” state, even though recent polling by RealClearPolitics puts Trump ahead by more than 5% in the Grand Canyon State. Nolte further notes that the last time Biden polled ahead of Trump in Arizona was April 2023.
Polling throughout 2024 also places Trump ahead of Biden in Wisconsin. In February, surveys by Emerson College, Kaplan Strategies, Morning Consult, and Marquette University Law School all showed that the former President has a growing advantage, with some leads as high as 9%.
Similarly, in Pennsylvania, Trump’s lead is expanding. The result of an Emerson College survey on March 13 shows that Mr. Trump is ahead of President Biden by 44% to 40%. This poll includes independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy, who won the support of 5%. When Mr. Kennedy was omitted, Trump led by 52% to 48%.
Regarding the issues, Reuters surveys in February reveal that Americans are increasingly worried about political extremism. A Reuters/Ipsos poll showed that 21% consider “extremism” important, with the economy in second place at 19% and immigration in third at 18%. Extremism was the number one concern of Democrats and independents, while Republicans opted for immigration. The same survey revealed that President Biden’s approval rating is down to 37%.
