‘The View’ Host Kept Trump’s Presidency Secret from Her Children

(ProsperNews.net) – Sara Haines, host of The View, recently admitted that she did not tell her children about Donald Trump’s presidency. Haines said she turned off her TV if Trump was featured and her children were around, and didn’t mention the White House or the nation’s leadership until Joe Biden entered the Oval Office in 2021. She said her children were learning about Presidents, and she did not want to point to Trump and say, “That’s him right there.”

The View co-hosts tend to agree. Whoopi Goldberg refuses to name the former President and refers to him as “You-know-who,” while fellow host Sunny Hostin describes him as “twice impeached.” Alyssa Farah Griffin, who is considered less extreme in her view of Mr. Trump, still says that despite being a Republican, she would vote Democrat if it meant seeing the back of Donald Trump.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, who worked in the Trump administration, joined the view in 2022, along with fellow Republican Ana Navarro. Despite serving as a spokesperson for Trump, Griffin is now a fierce critic, having walked away after the events of January 6, 2021. She testified to the House January 6 committee and has praised arch-anti-Trump Republican Liz Cheney. “I trust the work that ranking member Liz Cheney is doing,” she said. Cheney lost her Wyoming Congressional seat after becoming one of the former President’s most outspoken GOP critics and continues to warn America against his re-election.

Several Republicans have turned against Donald Trump in light of January 6, but some warned against him even before that. One notable “never-Trumper” is Utah Senator Mitt Romney, who has continually urged GOP colleagues to oppose a second Trump White House and find an alternative candidate. Former Vice President Mike Pence also opposes Mr. Trump, holding him responsible for January 6. Chris Christie, who served as New Jersey Governor and previously supported Mr. Trump, stood in the GOP 2024 race solely to attack the former President. He dropped out in January.
