Senator Claims FBI Confirmed Entry of ISIS Members into U.S.

(ProsperNews.net) – Floridian Senator Marco Rubio says FBI Director Christopher Wray told him ISIS members are entering the US via the porous southern border. Wray confirmed the existence of a sophisticated network that moves terrorists into the US discreetly. Rubio made the claim during an interview with ABC News in which he discussed the recent attack on concert-goers in Moscow, for which an ISIS splinter group, known as ISIS-K, claimed responsibility.

Senator Rubio explained that ISIS-K, or ISIS-Khorasan, is an Afghan wing of the terrorist organization that formed after the “disastrous” American withdrawal from Afghanistan. He said the US departure gave ISIS “operating space to reorganize themselves and plan externally.”

The Floridian Republican furthermore noted that ISIS-K has already carried out attacks inside Afghanistan, including one that killed 13 US service members at Kabul International Airport in 2021.

Additionally, in January, the terror network conducted an attack in Iran that left 84 people dead. The United States intelligence agencies warned Iran that an assault was imminent but were not heeded. The incident happened during an anniversary commemoration of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Qassem Soleimani, who was killed by an American strike in 2020.

Ignoring America’s warning, Iran later falsely claimed that the US was, in fact, linked to the terrorists who committed the mass murder.

Similarly, the US warned Russia that the Moscow attack was in the works, but that, too, was ignored. Analysts say this could prove highly embarrassing for Russian President Vladimir Putin, particularly given the specific nature of America’s alert. The US told the Kremlin that it had intelligence suggesting “imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow,” noting the probability that concerts and entertainment venues were vulnerable.

Days before the attack, during which gunmen entered a concert hall in Moscow and opened fire, killing more than 130 people, Putin told Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) that their top priority remained the war with Ukraine and that warnings from the West were intended to “intimidate and destabilize our society.”
