(ProsperNews.net) – Senator Rand Paul has warned Americans against the possibility of a Gavin Newsom White House. Speaking at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, Senator Paul discussed the government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic and said Americans should never be locked in their houses again. He said US citizens should simply not permit the federal government to enter their homes, churches, and schools and concluded that America must “never, ever let Gavin Newsom anywhere near the White House.”
Mr. Paul addressed left-wing talking points, including diversity, and said that while diversity for its own sake is not desirable, he would like to see the Republican party become more “diverse” and welcoming. The Senator urged his party to seek out more Asian and Hispanic members and activists. “They need to be in our party. And we have to be a bigger party,” he said, before calling for an immigrant increase.
Speculation surrounding a potential White House run for California Governor Newsom increased last year as polls showed that large numbers of Americans do not want Biden back in the Oval Office. Some commentators suggest that Newsom is running a shadow campaign in case the President is forced to drop out before November.
Mr. Newsom has made a point of raising his national profile in recent years, and when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, he signed abortion legislation the same day. He then quickly launched a nationwide ad campaign urging Americans seeking abortion to head toward the Golden State.
The Governor also recently took to the national stage in opposition to Donald Trump and urged President Biden to debate him. Newsom told Kristen Welker on NBC that Biden beat Trump at debates during the last Presidential campaign and could do so again. He described Donald Trump as “weakness masquerading as strength.”
On the Dan Bongino Show in early February, Donald Trump confirmed that he wants to debate Biden at some point before the November election.
