Second Trump Rally Victim Leaves Hospital

(ProsperNews.net) – The second man injured during the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump has left the hospital and is expected to recover fully. James Copenhaver, 74, was injured by a bullet meant for Trump during a rally in Butler, PA on July 13. Copenhaver was the last man to be discharged from a medical facility. David Dutch was previously released after he was hit in the torso.

Trump was shot in the ear in what many have suggested was an extremely close call. An inch or so more and Trump could have been hit in the head and killed. Democrats have suggested any number of conspiracy theories from there being no actual wound to Trump being hit by something other than a bullet. FBI Director Christopher Wray was recently lambasted in the press after he suggested something other than a bullet may have hit Trump. The FBI corrected his statement just days later, officially putting that baby to bed.

Retired fire chief Corey Comperatore was killed by the gunman, heroically shielding his wife and daughter during the attack.

Trump announced his intention to return to Butler on social media and hold another rally at the same site he was shot at. Trump said he wanted to honor the memory of Comperatore and the injured men in the announcement.

Conspiracy theories are swirling on both sides of the political aisle with many conservatives asking just how 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks (the presumed shooter) was able to meander around the site, using a rangefinder, after being identified by law enforcement for at least 90 minutes before he opened fire.

Text messages released by Sen. Chuck Grassley’s (R-IA) office included group chats from police who identified Crooks as a person of interest while suggesting a uniformed officer approach and investigate. No one ultimately did approach and Crooks was able to get off multiple shots at Trump before being eliminated by counter-snipers himself.

Trump gave a moving tribute to Comperatore during his RNC speech and honored him with a moment of silence following the tribute.
