Rubio Debates Trump’s Storyline with Dana Bash

During a recent media interview, the Senator was asked if he believes Trump will seek vengeance against Democrats, and Rubio insisted this was fear-mongering. He said Trump has repeatedly stated that his revenge will be success, and “making America great again.”

Rubio added that Trump had been President for four years, and during that time, he did not “go after” Hillary Clinton, Obama, or Joe Biden.

“He will be too busy undoing all the damage of this disastrous Presidency,” the Senator said.

During the 2016 election campaign, Mr. Trump threatened to “lock up” Hillary Clinton, but more recently said he did not pursue that in office because it was not in America’s interests.

Claims that Donald Trump seeks to institute authoritarian rule have increased in recent months, with President Biden cautioning Americans that they face the “most urgent question” of their time. “He’s willing to sacrifice our democracy to keep himself in power,” the President said.
