RFK Jr. Rolls Out Plan to Trim Mortgages by $1,000 Per Month

(ProsperNews.net) – Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, who has switched from the Democratic party to Independent, has announced a new policy that would cut mortgages by $1,000 per month. Kennedy, currently trailing behind President Biden amid a controversial decision by Democrats not to hold debates, described his potentially popular policy proposal on Twitter and said it wouldn’t cost the federal government a cent.

Mr. Kennedy said that housing is a key route out of poverty as it permits people to obtain financing to start businesses and boost their prospects. He pointed out that the cost of housing has skyrocketed and blamed this on “printing money” and causing inflation to rise, as well as spending trillions on wars and what he believes were unnecessary vaccinations. He also accused investment giants such as Blackrock of swooping in and buying houses so that ordinary people cannot compete and prices go up further.

“I’m going to change the tax code to make it unprofitable for those companies to compete against your children,” Kennedy explained. He added that mortgages at a 3% fixed rate would be available to ordinary Americans, and the loan would be co-signed and guaranteed by “Uncle Sam.” He will finance the mortgages by selling tax-free bonds, he added.

A recent survey by Reuters/Ipsos found that Mr. Kennedy is in the interesting position of pulling support from both the Biden and Trump campaigns. He is outspoken in opposition to what he sees as excessive corporate influence in politics and government censorship, and he has called for the southern border to be closed.

In the poll, conducted in early October, responders were asked who they would vote for if the election were held tomorrow. Trump and Biden tied on 35% each. However, when Kennedy was added to the list of options, Biden’s support fell to 31% and Trump’s to 33%. More respondents viewed Kennedy positively than negatively, but he has failed to make a significant dent in his pursuit of the Democrat nomination.

Quinnipiac puts him at 17% compared to Biden’s 70%.
