(ProsperNews.net) – Vice President Kamala Harris recently gave a speech at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania, where she was interrupted twice by pro-Palestinian protesters. The event took place at the McHale Athletic Center, and despite the interruptions, Harris continued her remarks at this event.
One protester yelled, “You’re supporting a war criminal” during the speech, and another shouted “Free Palestine” before being removed from the venue. In response to the protesters, Harris simply said, “I respect your voice, but right now, I am speaking.” She then moved on with her speech without much disruption.
Harris was introduced by Mary Grace, a local nurse who said she used to be a Republican but could no longer support former President Donald Trump. After giving thanks to several local leaders, including Pennsylvania’s Governor Josh Shapiro, Harris shifted her focus to criticizing Trump and his policies during the speech.
She pointed out that during a recent ABC News debate, she discussed important issues like lowering the cost of living, supporting small businesses, and protecting reproductive rights. In contrast, she said Trump had no real plan for helping Americans and was sticking to the same old talking points. According to Harris, Trump’s focus is on giving tax cuts to billionaires while cutting social programs for everyday people.
Harris also brought up Trump’s plans for a new “Trump sales tax,” which many believe refers to his tariff policies. She emphasized that America needs a leader who will unite the country, not divide it, saying, “People are exhausted with that stuff.”
Governor Josh Shapiro, who introduced Harris at the event, gave a strong endorsement, highlighting the progress Pennsylvania has made under his leadership. He mentioned investments in public schools and the importance of creating safe communities for children.
Meanwhile, Trump’s team responded to Harris’ visit, claiming that Pennsylvanians are fed up with the high costs of living caused by what they called the “Harris-Biden administration’s inflationary, anti-energy agenda.”
