(ProsperNews.net) – Pro-Palestinian protesters in Massachusetts stood on the American flag and referred to the United States as a “gangster” during a recent rally at Cambridge City Hall. Attendees blamed the United States and Israel for provoking global wars, with one person holding a sign that read, “The US and Israel are terrorists.” Another protestor said America was guilty of atrocities and used the bombing of the Japanese cities of Nagasaki and Hiroshima in 1945 as evidence of the claim.
The demonstration occurred near Harvard University, where student groups released a statement condemning Israel after it was attacked and its civilians slaughtered by Palestinian terror group Hamas on October 7. Twenty-seven student groups signed the statement: “We, the undersigned student organizations, hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence.” Pro-Israel students reacted with shock and called the declaration “deeply disturbing.”
Anti-Israel demonstrations have erupted across the Western world in the wake of the Jewish state’s declaration of war against Hamas. The UK has been particularly badly affected as thousands marched through London streets accusing Israel of “brutal violence and oppression.” Police arrested three people at a demonstration outside the UK’s Israeli embassy, which has been boarded up for its protection.
Video clips on social media show police apparently sympathizing with pro-Palestinian factions while Home Secretary Suella Braverman asks law enforcement to intensify its efforts to keep Jews safe.
In Australia, the famous Syndey Opera House was attacked after it displayed the colors of the Israeli flag in solidarity with the embattled Jewish state. Pro-Palestinian demonstrators loudly chanted for the death of Jews while hurtling projectiles at the iconic building. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the protest should not have been permitted to proceed.
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton described the scenes in Sydney as “despicable” and “unimaginable in modern Australia.” He said such protests were a reminder that Australia must “continue our strong support for the people of Israel and the Jewish community.”
