(ProsperNews.net) – President Joe Biden is set to make a rare appearance on ABC’s “The View” this Wednesday, as announced during the show’s broadcast on Monday. This appearance comes after what seems like an endless series of vacations and limited public appearances from the President.
Whoopi Goldberg, one of the show’s regular hosts, delivered the news at the beginning of Monday’s episode. She got the audience laughing when she dramatically lowered her voice and said, “I have a historic announcement.”
Goldberg then went on to say, “This Wednesday, we are honored to have the sitting President of the United States, Joe Biden, live on ‘The View’ with us! Because let us not forget, he is still President of the United States of America.”
The network then cut to a teaser for the upcoming interview: “President Joe Biden, his four years in the White House. His impact. His legacy. His future. In a Wednesday exclusive, President Joe Biden in his first interview since the Harris-Trump debate, live on ABC’s ‘The View.’”
This upcoming appearance is notable because Biden has kept a low profile since dropping out of the 2024 presidential race back in July, while recovering from another bout with COVID. Since then, his public appearances have been limited to short stints, such as spending long weekends at his Delaware beach house, or brief trips to California and New York. In between these getaways, he has occasionally popped up to support Vice President Harris or handle official duties.
However, even the few times he’s been seen in public have raised concerns. Some critics are questioning whether Biden is dealing with cognitive decline. For example, during a recent trip, he confused reporters when he said he would “do 9/11,” meaning he planned to attend the memorials. More recently, some raised eyebrows when it seemed that First Lady Jill Biden was the one leading a Cabinet meeting, sparking further criticism.
