(ProsperNews.net) – A former Obama supporter, who helped raise millions for his Presidential campaign, has announced she is “divorcing” the Democrats and will vote for Donald Trump in November. Allison Huynh said “a series of things” led to her decision, including an explosion in crime and social deterioration. Noting crime rates in San Francisco, Huynh said police are targeting the wrong people and allowing criminals to use heroin in public and steal from stores. “I love to cook, and when I wake up in the morning, there are no grocery stores to go to,” she said.
Speaking to reporters, Ms. Huynh, who created the robotics and artificial intelligence company Willow Garage, backed Obama in 2008 because of his commitment to equality for women and people of color. She organized and hosted $100,000-a-plate dinners for his campaign, raising funds from Silicon Valley millionaires.
The businesswoman and Vietnamese immigrant described how reality replaced the “hope” Obama promised, and her reality is that she must step over drug addicts while walking with her children through San Francisco.
Ms. Huynh furthermore announced that she intends to sell the original Shepard Fairey painting that inspired the famous Obama Hope images that characterized his 2008 campaign. She bought the painting for $1 million.
Describing herself as a lifelong liberal, Ms. Huynh collected items connected to the Democrats, including a rocking chair that belonged to John F. Kennedy, but she intends to sell them because they no longer have any meaning to her. “I am cleaning the house,” she declared.
Huynh is one of many non-white Americans or immigrants switching their allegiance to the Republican Party. Data shows that black support for Democrats has fallen by around 20% since 2021. Hispanic and youth backing is also falling, while white support for Republicans remains steady.
Statistics revealed that over a million Americans switched allegiance to the GOP in 2022. The switch was especially evident in middle-class suburbs, with most voters citing growing crime rates.
