News Editor Orders Media to Hide Iconic Trump Photo

(ProsperNews.net) – A major news outlet’s editor has ordered reporters not to use the iconic image of Donald Trump pumping his fist after his assassination attempt because it gives “free PR” to the former President’s campaign. Media reports indicate that the unnamed editor is not the sole voice expressing concern that the photo could promote Trump as a strongman leader and act as “propaganda” for Republicans.

Photojournalist Evan Vucci took the picture that joined several other memorable images from the Pennsylvania rally, including one by Anna Moneymaker, which showed Trump on the ground with blood pouring from his ear. Analysts say both photos will likely feature heavily throughout the remainder of the Presidential election and serve as the defining images of the 2024 Presidential election. Concerned editors have reportedly stated that no consideration was given to the pictures’ impact on the election before they were widely published.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the Secret Service refused Donald Trump’s request for extra security. Trump had asked for additional protection for two years, including more snipers and agents, but the agency repeatedly dismissed his concerns. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi admitted the agency had not granted Trump’s request but insisted that it did make “modifications to ensure extra protection” for the former President.

Kimberley Cheatle, the Secret Service leader, is under scrutiny and faces calls to resign following the attempt on Trump’s life. Republican lawmakers said they would subpoena Cheatle and demand an explanation as to how 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Pennsylvania managed to get a clear view of Trump from a nearby roof and barely miss his head with a bullet. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said, “The nation deserves answers and accountability.” McConnell called for a “change of leadership” at the Secret Service.

Cheatle confessed that the “buck stops” with her but has so far resisted calls to stand down. The Biden administration has promised a full investigation and review but has not joined calls for Cheatle’s resignation.
