Michelle Obama Accuses Trump of Being Threatened by Blacks

(ProsperNews.net) – Former first lady Michelle Obama tore into Republican presidential candidate and former president Donald Trump during her speech at the Democratic Party’s national convention in Chicago, Illinois, accusing the former commander-in-chief of being “threatened” by successful black people such as the Obamas and especially the Democrats’ presidential candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Who’s gonna tell him that the job he’s currently seeking might just be one of those ‘black jobs’?”, Mrs. Obama quipped to raucous laughter and cheers, referencing the upcoming contest between Trump and Harris.

Trump and the Republican Party have often referred to “black jobs” in their attempts to woo black voters, warning of the threat illegal migrants pose to the already competitive U.S. jobs market.

The former first lady has consistently polled as the most popular and most liked personality among Democrats, which for a time fueled speculation that the liberals would likely tap her to run against Trump. Mrs. Obama, however, has repeatedly stated that she has no desire to seek any public office, much less the presidency.

That did not keep her from slamming her husband’s successor in her speech, however.

“For years, Donald Trump did everything in his power to try to make people fear us,” she said, referring to Trump’s supposed bias against black people, especially black people in positions of authority. Mrs. Obama also told Democrats to be ready for Trump’s supposed “ugly, misogynistic, racist lies” he will use against Vice President Harris.

Other Democrats who took to the stage that night were equally disparaging of the former chief executive, with Harris’ vice presidential pick, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, calling Trump “weird.” Former president Barack Obama likened his successor to a “neighbor who keeps running his leaf blower outside your window every minute of every day.”

For his part, Trump slammed the comments against him during the DNC rally, calling Mrs. Obama’s remarks as “personal” attacks against him. Addressing a crowd of supporters in Asheboro, North Carolina, Trump pointed to the Democrat hypocritical mantra of “stick to policy.”

“They’re getting personal all night, these people,” Trump said.
