(ProsperNews.net) – On CNN’s State of the Union this Sunday, former Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney offered harsh criticism of former President Donald Trump, arguing that his character makes him fundamentally unfit to lead. Cheney did not hold back, calling Trump “unstable, depraved, and cruel,” and expressed deep concerns over what she perceives as his chaotic and erratic behavior.
According to Cheney, Trump’s former advisors and administration officials speaking out against him underscores the severity of the situation. “The Trump campaign, JD Vance, they absolutely understand how damaging it is for the American people to see all of these unprecedented levels of senior officials from the Trump administration telling the American people that Donald Trump is unfit,” Cheney said, adding that Trump’s team has, in response, devised “completely divorced” attacks that she feels lack any connection to the truth. She suggested the American people recognize this, noting, “They know that he’s erratic. They know that he is cruel, and they’re telling the American people that.”
Cheney then turned to Vice President Kamala Harris, offering her endorsement of Harris as a candidate with a strong moral compass. “I am absolutely confident, having spent time with Vice President Harris… she really does believe and understands how important it is for her to govern as a president who unites us,” Cheney said. Cheney believes Harris is more willing to listen and weigh diverse perspectives, noting that she would be “a president who’s going to do what’s right for this country.” Cheney described Harris as someone who genuinely understands the weight of governing a divided nation and has the intent to unite it.
In an appeal to the public and media, Cheney urged news networks to continue playing Trump’s footage, emphasizing the importance of Trump’s own words in illustrating his character. “I hope that you guys play as much Donald Trump footage as you can… because the more the American people see him, the more they remember,” Cheney said. According to Cheney, Trump’s words and actions in these final campaign days make it “clear we cannot have a president who is unstable and depraved.”
Cheney’s statements highlight her ongoing concern over Trump’s potential return to the White House and her unwavering support for candidates she sees as capable of uniting rather than dividing the country.
