Lindsey Graham Booed At Trump Rally

(ProsperNews.net) – Lindsey Graham was booed and heckled at a Donald Trump rally in South Carolina on July 1. Trump supporters called him a “traitor” as he tried to express his support for the former President, saying he had changed his mind and now wants to help Trump back into the White House. “I’ve come to like President Trump and he likes himself and we got that in common. And I’m gonna help him become President of the United States,” Graham said.

The Republican Senator went on to say that the GOP must unite behind Trump because it is inevitable that he will be picked as the Republican nominee for the White House race in 2024.

Graham was booed as he tried to introduce President Trump due to a long history of conflict between the two men.

In the run-up to the Presidential election of 2016, Graham stood against Trump in the Republican primaries and referred to him as a “jackass,” a “race-baiting bigot,” and “the most flawed nominee in the history of the Republican party.”

During Trump’s time in the White House, however, Lindsey Graham changed his view and became a defender of the President. Following the events of January 6, 2021, things deteriorated again. Graham condemned Trump for saying he would pardon many of those who participated in the demonstrations, while the former President said Graham was a RINO – Republican In Name Only.

In a new book by former Washington, DC, police officer Michael Fanone, it is alleged that Graham took a firm hand against the demonstrators of January 6 and asked DC police officers why they didn’t shoot them.

Despite the history of conflict, Trump urged his supporters in South Carolina to forgive and forget, telling them that Graham could help him bring voters on board. “When I need some of those liberal votes, he’s always there to help me get them. We’ve got some pretty liberal people, but he’s good,” Trump said.
