Kids Kicked Out of High School To House Migrant Camp

(ProsperNews.net) – Kids in New York have been kicked out of their school to make room for illegal immigrants. Migrants, who were initially accommodated in tents, were moved to James Madison High School when it became evident that the New York winter made camping an unsuitable and unattractive option.

The migrants came under attack from angry locals with many screaming at them as they arrived to take up accommodations at the school. “How do you feel stealing American tax money?” one man asked, while another shouted, “How does it feel that you kicked all the kids out of school tomorrow?”

City Hall spokeswoman Kayla Mamelak said the arrangements were temporary and the migrants would soon be rehoused, but residents are not convinced. One man described the decision to use the school as a “litmus test” and added, “I guarantee you they’ll be here for the entire summer.”

The tense situation has added to already simmering anger in the Big Apple as people come to terms with mass migration. Governor Kathy Hochul is leading a group of Democratic Governors in calling for help from the White House to cope with the growing crisis. Nine Governors, including Gavin Newsom of California and JB Pritzker of Illinois, wrote to the President saying America’s immigration system is unfit to handle “unprecedented global migration.”

New York is not the only city struggling to handle the vast numbers crossing the US border – Chicago is also overwhelmed and the political impact is beginning to show. For example, Governor Pritzker is reportedly at odds with the Windy City’s left-wing Mayor Brandon Johnson. Mr. Johnson recently said he would evict illegal immigrants from the city’s homeless shelters after 60 days, as the facilities cannot deal with high numbers.

Pritzker publicly criticized Johnson’s plans and said the Mayor failed to indicate to state leaders where the migrants would go after 60 days, and nor had he requested help from Pritzker’s office to rehouse them.
