(ProsperNews.net) – Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson has accused Democrats of covering up President Biden’s cognitive decline. During a media interview, Johnson said he had previously been reluctant to speculate on Biden’s condition in public but added “now that the cat is out of the bag,” he was willing to publicly blame Democrats for concealing the President’s decline and “trying to prevent the people from seeing what all of us in close proximity have seen.”
Johnson went on to describe how he has witnessed Biden deteriorate over the past four years and said he’s not the man he was when he ran for President in 2020. When questioned about whether the GOP intended to formally investigate a Democrat cover-up, Mr. Johnson said this was a possibility and something his party had discussed. He noted that Democrats repeatedly declared how sharp and focused Biden was when this was clearly untrue.
During a White House press conference, Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre avoided responding directly to cover-up allegations and directed reporters to a medical report on the main White House website. She said the report was composed by a group of medical experts without political input and encouraged the American public to read it.
Meanwhile, National Republican Congressional Committee chairman Richard Hudson has issued a warning to fellow Republicans to avoid using racist or sexist language to describe Vice President Harris. After attending a closed-door meeting of Congressional Republicans organized to respond to Harris’s rise, Mike Johnson told reporters that the party decided to focus on policies rather than personalities. He said the Vice President’s “ethnicity or her gender has nothing to do with this whatsoever.”
The declaration was reportedly issued due to repeated references of Ms. Harris as a “DEI pick,” which Republican strategists have warned may backfire. For instance, Wyoming Rep. Harriet Hageman described the Vice President in those terms during a television interview, prompting backlash. Hagemen described Harris as “the bottom of the barrel.”
