JD Vance: Deportations Key to Raising American Wages

(ProsperNews.net) – Senator JD Vance, speaking during the Vice Presidential debate, defended former President Donald Trump’s proposed deportation plan, arguing that it would help raise wages for ordinary Americans by reducing the number of undocumented workers willing to work for less than minimum wage. Vance explained that deporting illegal immigrants would benefit American workers by creating a fairer labor market.

“Migrants will go home if they can’t work for less than minimum wage in our own country,” Vance said when asked about deporting undocumented parents, even if their children were born in the U.S. He asserted that removing undocumented workers would be “really good for our workers who just want to earn a fair wage for doing a good day’s work.”

Vance emphasized that the first priority should be to “stop the bleeding” at the border by reinstating Trump’s policies, such as building the border wall and reintroducing deportations. He cited the presence of 20 to 25 million illegal immigrants currently in the U.S. and proposed starting deportations with those who have committed crimes beyond illegal entry, a group he estimated to be about a million people.

Vance also highlighted what he described as a crisis of family separation at the southern border under Vice President Kamala Harris’s leadership. He referenced reports that approximately 320,000 children have gone missing, some of whom have fallen victim to sex trafficking or drug smuggling operations. “The real family separation policy in this country is, unfortunately, Kamala Harris’s wide open southern border,” he stated, blaming the administration’s immigration policies for the crisis.

In conclusion, Vance made it clear that, if elected, his administration would return to Trump’s strict border policies to address illegal immigration and protect American workers from wage suppression caused by undocumented labor.
