Illegal Jordanians Tried Breaching Quantico, ICE States

(ProsperNews.net) – The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has confirmed that two Jordanian nationals who attempted to access Marine Corps Base Quantico were in the US illegally. On May 3, two men tried to enter the base in Virginia, telling gate officers they were making an Amazon delivery. The men were directed to a holding area to be vetted and were subsequently detained for trespassing.

Base officials contacted Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Washington, DC, which sent officers to arrest the Jordanians. ERO Washington spokesperson James Covington said the arrests occurred “without incident,” and the two men remain in custody awaiting deportation.

Details have since emerged about how the Jordanians entered the United States. One came through the southern border from Mexico to California just weeks prior to the Quantico incident, and the other overstayed a student visa, officials confirmed.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) states that the first unnamed Jordanian arrived via the San Diego sector and was issued a notice to appear at an immigration court before being released. Republicans subsequently wrote to the DHS requesting additional information. The letter, penned by GOP lawmakers on the House Homeland Security Committee, stated that the Biden administration has “created an environment ripe for exploitation” by American adversaries, allowing them opportunities to “undermine the United States at its most critical points.”

Republican Rep. Glenn Grothman of Wisconsin separately claimed that migrant infiltrators are becoming more creative in their attempts to gain access to sensitive US military sites. Grothman said people from China, Iran, and other Middle Eastern countries posed as delivery drivers or tourists and were increasingly using drones to launch spy missions. The Republican stressed that when the number of Chinese nationals crossing the border increases so significantly over a short period, “you have to wonder what’s going on.”

Records show that 25,000 Chinese have crossed the southern US border since last October. The figure represents an 8,000% increase since 2021.
