Host Commends Trump for Showing Up at Officer’s Funeral

(ProsperNews.net) – Host of “The View,” Alyssa Farah Griffin, praised Donald Trump for attending the wake of an NYPD officer killed during a traffic stop in March. Griffin said the former President resonates with Americans in a way that Joe Biden does not, and he demonstrated this by attending a slain police officer’s memorial while President Biden spent the same day at a glitzy political fundraiser with Presidents Clinton and Obama.

Former Trump advisor Ms. Griffin said he is becoming politically smarter with every Presidential election and more in tune with the average American. “This is his third time running now, he knows what he’s doing,” she said.

The New York memorial was held for Officer Jonathan Diller, who was allegedly shot dead by a career criminal, Guy Rivera. More than 100 NYPD cops attended the court hearing when Rivera and co-defendant Lindy Jones were indicted for the slaying. Both men have lengthy rap sheets, and prosecutors told the court that Jones introduced himself to them, saying, “My name is Lindy Jones Jr, and I shoot people.” His criminal history includes an attempted murder charge in 2001.

Rivera was not in court as he remains in hospital with gunshot wounds inflicted by Diller’s partner after Mr. Diller was fatally injured.

While some have praised Donald Trump for attending Officer Diller’s wake in Massapequa, Long Island, others called it a publicity stunt. Brian Sicknick’s parents, for example, condemned the former President and said he attended the wake only for his own promotion. “The guy’s a criminal. He’s the reason my son is dead,” Charles Sicknick told reporters, adding, “There’s nothing good about this man.”

Mr. Sicknick’s Capitol Police officer son Brian died on January 7, 2021, having spent the previous day amid the Capitol Hill riots. Despite medical examiners declaring that the officer died from natural causes, several people blamed Donald Trump and the events of January 6. Washington’s chief medical examiner, however, said Officer Sicknick had suffered a fatal stroke.
