Harris Promises Amnesty and Nationwide Mail Voting for Illegals

(ProsperNews.net) – Vice President Kamala Harris said she promises to sign legislation to create a path toward citizenship for illegal aliens despite having broken the law as well as nationwide mail-in voting laws.

Harris spoke in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday, Aug. 9, and vowed to support mass amnesty policies for the millions of illegal aliens who have broken the law to enter the US. The vice president said Americans know their immigration system “is broken” and “what it takes to fix it,” which she said is her “comprehensive reform” that will secure naturalized citizenship for large portions of people who entered the country illegally.

Harris said what is needed was not only “strong border security,” but also a “pathway to citizenship” that is earned, disregarding that the people she refers to technically broke the law as soon as they came into the US without authorization. The mass amnesty would immediately flood the workforce with millions of foreign workers who can now legally work, forcing the American middle class to compete against people from other nations.

According to E.J. Antoni, an economist with the Heritage Foundation, the majority of job growth seen under the current administration has gone “to foreign-born workers” and the Bureau of Labor Statistics includes illegals in this category. More and more native-born Americans are falling out of the workforce and are being replaced with new arrivals.

Harris also vowed to pass the Freedom to Vote Act, legislation that would make no-excuse mail-in voting accessible across the nation, including the use of drop boxes for registrants to turn in their ballots. The legislation also establishes a system of automatically registering voters unless the voters choose to opt-out.

Critics of the Democratic initiative believe it is designed to pad their votes and steal elections, as they expect most illegal immigrants to vote for them out of loyalty after receiving amnesty and citizenship. Republicans have also been increasingly concerned with the abuse of mail-in ballots ever since the 2020 election, which saw the use of that system in an unprecedented way. Many still believe mail-in voting leaves too many openings to tamper with elections and should be heavily restricted.
