Haley’s $76.4M Campaign Fails Against Trump in Key States

(ProsperNews.net) – Republican Presidential candidate Nikki Haley spent over $75 million on three consecutive defeats to Donald Trump. Haley came in third place behind Trump and Ron DeSantis in Iowa, in second place in New Hampshire, and more recently, in second place to the former President in her home state, South Carolina. However, its former Governor insists that she will not step away from the contest.

According to Federal Election Commission filings, the Haley campaign had $15 million in the bank after spending $37 million in Iowa, $31 million in New Hampshire, and $8.4 million in South Carolina. Reports suggest Ms. Haley lost significant funding after her disappointing performance in the Granite State. Among those to back off was LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffmann, who has previously supported the Democrats. Hoffman said he invested in Haley when he believed she could win, but now he needs to see new evidence to persuade him that “more money can help her.”

A separate donor explained that he believed it was vital she did well in New Hampshire, but the momentum died when she lost that state.

While her campaign appears to falter, Haley has increased her attacks on Donald Trump. Her most recent move was to argue that the Republican Party must pass a resolution preventing the use of party funds for Donald Trump’s legal fees. “All Americans, and Republicans especially, deserve a vote on the record on that resolution,” Haley said while campaigning in Utah.

During an interview with CNN in early February, the last remaining of Trump’s competitors for the Republican nomination accused him of spending $50 million of donors’ money on his legal battles. She called it “unconscionable” and said Trump is running a sparse Presidential campaign because his finances are limited.

Nikki Haley stated that she intends to stay in the White House race until at least Super Tuesday, which takes place on March 5. Polls, however, show that a comfortable Trump victory is the most likely outcome.
