Feds Accuse Retiree of Stockpiling Illicit Drugs

(ProsperNews.net) – A 77-year-old resident of a retirement community in Florida is facing federal charges for stockpiling prescription drugs with the intention of selling them both in and outside of the Sunshine State. He is allegedly in possession of a number of controlled substances, with a combined value of around $1,800.

Reginald “Reggie” Kincer has had several drug-related run-ins with law enforcement in the past and was featured in a documentary about the residents of Florida’s “The Villages” – the largest retirement community in America.

In September 2018, police arrested Kincer in a parking lot of The Villages Laurel Manor Recreation Center when the smell of marijuana was emitting from his car. When cops asked if he had the drug in his possession, he casually showed them a container with cannabis inside. He insisted he had not broken the law because smoking marijuana is legal “under Indian law,” and he was a member of the Oklevueha Nation Native American Church. Police later found cocaine in his wallet.

In 2020, he was arrested again and charged with trafficking in phenethylamines and drug possession. Police found marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, and MDMA in a bag labeled “Wellness Center of the Rockies.” He pleaded guilty and received a sentence of three years’ probation.

The Villages describes itself as a collection of “quaint retirement neighborhoods located in the heart of Florida.” It is open to people aged over 55 and is home to houses and villas, a golf course, tennis courts, entertainment venues and restaurants, and a collection of town squares. Homes for sale range in price from $175,000 to over a million dollars, and a fee of $189 per month gives access to all amenities.

The Villages also claims to be the “healthiest hometown in America.” The property features a hospital, an outpatient clinic, gyms, nursing centers, and rehabilitation services on site. Dog parks, fishing, and miles of nature trails are also included.
