(ProsperNews.net) – The FBI has more than 40 sources alleging criminal behavior by the Biden family, according to Senator Chuck Grassley. These sources “provided criminal information to the FBI relating to Joe Biden, James Biden, and Hunter Biden,” according to Grassley, who also claims the FBI ignored or discredited some of the information it received.
Mr. Grassley included the claims in a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray, informing them he had received this information via whistleblowers, and said, “There appears to be an effort within the Justice Department and FBI to shut down investigative activity relating to the Biden family.”
Republican lawmakers have long been probing the affairs of the Biden family, and last December, Senator Grassley published a document detailing an allegation that the President and his son, Hunter Biden, received millions from a Ukrainian gas firm, Burisma. The document was an internal FBI report containing claims that Burisma hired Hunter Biden to sit on its board to gain the support of then-Vice President Biden.
The Bidens are also accused of using their influence to have a Ukrainian investigator fired during his investigation into corruption at Burisma. President Biden admits to a part in the prosecutor’s firing but said it was he who was corrupt rather than Burisma’s executives. The prosecutor, Victor Shokin, was tasked with tackling corruption among Ukraine’s politicians but did not do so, according to Charlie Kupchan, a special assistant to President Obama.
Also in December, the House of Representatives voted along party lines to launch formal impeachment proceedings against the President. In response, Biden said, “Instead of doing anything to help make Americans’ lives better, they are focused on attacking me with lies.”
Democrats in the House accused GOP lawmakers of a political stunt prompted by a desire for revenge for the two impeachments faced by President Trump. “It has no credibility, no legitimacy, and no integrity. It is a sideshow,” said Democrat Rep. Jim McGovern of Massachusetts.
