(ProsperNews.net) – Legal experts have stated that they believe the outcome of former President Donald Trump’s ongoing court battles will not be favorable. The experts based their opinion on the reported discovery of a recording of the former president’s voice stating that he had access to a classified document detailing a “possible U.S. attack” in Iran for July 2021. Media reports stated that this recording could potentially disqualify statements the former president made that he had “declassified” all of the documents he took from the White House after his presidency.
Former civil prosecutor Maya Wiley told MSNBC’s “The Beat” that, in her view, the discovery of the audio was “explosive.” Likewise, Wiley stated that the discovery was, in her view, the “last nail’ in a coffin that had already gotten a lot of “nails” driven into it. In Wiley’s view, the audio discovery will likely lead to an additional criminal indictment of the former president. Trump was indicted in Manhattan, New York, New York earlier this year on allegations posed by District Attorney Alvin Bragg that he had committed business document fraud.
Another former prosecutor Paul Butler also told MSNBC’s “The Beat” that the audio discovery was, in his view, “devastating” for Trump.
Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to comment on reports that federal prosecutors would not seek to bring charges against former Vice President Mike Pence in the case of an investigation into his possession of classified documents. Trump wondered when he would be “fully exonerated” because he was at least as “innocent” as Pence in the case of document handling. Trump claimed that the inquiry into his document’s possession was a “witch hunt.”
During a town hall meeting in Clive, Iowa on Thursday, June 1, Trump reportedly appeared to brace his supporters for the possibility of more charges coming against him. Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity that he didn’t know anything further about what possible charges would come his way, but he claimed that everything he did “was right.”
