(ProsperNews.net) – Donald Trump has extended his lead over Joe Biden by record figures, according to a recent poll. Furthermore, the CNN/SSRS survey showed that third-party candidates are boosting the former President’s lead. In a head-to-head with President Biden, Trump leads by 49% to 43%, but when Robert Kennedy, Cornel West, and Jill Stein are added to the mix, Trump’s advantage jumps to 42% to Biden’s 33%. Kennedy is on 16%, West 4%, and Stein 3%.
The survey indicated that Americans look back fondly on the Trump administration. For example, 55% believe his Oval Office term was a success, compared to just 39% who feel the same about Biden’s. Most voters also stated that the economy is a crucial factor in how they will cast their vote, and 62% think Trump will do a better job than the current President.
Polls in swing states show that voters believe they are financially worse off under the Biden administration. Only 29% in Michigan said they fared better under Biden, compared to 50% who said their financial situation had worsened. Similarly, 23% believe they are better off in Pennsylvania, compared to 50% who say the opposite. In Wisconsin, the figures are 25% versus 48%.
In a damning Gallup survey, Joe Biden emerged as the least popular US President in decades. Looking back over 70 years, voters chose Dwight Eisenhower as their favorite Commander-in-Chief with 73.2% approval. Joe Biden is in last place at 38.7%, Donald Trump had 46.8%, Richard Nixon 53.7%, and Jimmy Carter 47.7%.
Experts say that no first-term President has ever won a second term with approval ratings as low as President Biden’s. Furthermore, with few exceptions, Presidents who struggle with approval ratings lower than 50% often fall at the second hurdle. Barack Obama, however, who had a rating of 46%, managed to pull through and secure a second victory.
Analysts also warn that Biden faces extra obstacles, including high inflation and several foreign wars.
