Democrats in Biden’s State are Now Joining the Republicans, Data Says

(ProsperNews.net) – Democrats in President Biden’s home state are joining the Republican Party in significant numbers, according to recent data. Voter registration information from Pennsylvania, where Biden was born, shows that tens of thousands have switched allegiance to the GOP. One former Democrat described the President as “Bernie Sanders lite” and said, “This wasn’t the Joe Biden I voted for in 2020.”

Data shows that 35,589 people in Beaver State transitioned from Democrat to Republican last year, whereas only 15,622 traveled in the opposite direction. Some residents in the President’s hometown of Scranton reject Biden’s recent comments that he does not see the economy “through the eyes of Wall Street and Park Avenue. I look at it through the eyes of the people I grew up with in Scranton, Pennsylvania or Claymont, Delaware.”

A Scranton resident responded by saying he does not believe Biden or the Washington elite see the economy through any eyes except their own. “The economy has gotten worse,” he added.

Pennsylvania is not the only state to witness conversions to the GOP since Biden entered the Oval Office, and in 2022, just one year after his Presidency began, over a million Americans switched allegiance to the Republican Party.

Figures showed that the shift was most notable among suburbanites and college graduates, a key demographic for Democrats. The change was prompted by several issues, according to voters, including Democrat support of mandatory vaccination during the coronavirus pandemic.

Ben Smith, a voter from Colorado, described this as his reason for turning away from Democrats and said, “It’s more so a rejection of the left than embracing the right.”

Black and Hispanic voters are likewise rejecting the Democrats in numbers that will alarm the Biden campaign as the 2024 White House race heats up. When he entered the Oval Office, Biden had the support of 86% of black voters, but this dropped to 63% by 2022. His approval fell from around 70% to 40% among Latino and Hispanic voters over the same period.
