(ProsperNews.net) – Democratic Pennsylvania Representative Susan Wild has recently been exposed for celebrating an incident of doxxing in which Senator Mitch McConnel (R-KY) had his home address publicized with heavy suggestions that individuals harass the man. Voters in Pennsylvania’s Seventh Congressional District should be aware of their opportunity to replace her with Republican Ryan Mackenzie this November.
Back in 2019, Trump was president and a government shutdown was threatening to stop the daily expenditure of taxpayer funds. A partial shutdown was already in place, raising the stakes and ratcheting up media hype. The Democrats were attempting to push through a package to reopen the government, but McConnell wouldn’t allow anything to proceed that Trump wasn’t already prepared to sign.
McConnell said at the time it was pointless to send something to the president if he wasn’t going to sign it. Trump was seeking additional funding for border security, which seems prescient today. The Democrats were refusing to authorize the additional funding.
Roughly a quarter of the government was forced to shut down for weeks starting in December 2018. McConnell chastised then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi for playing politics with the far-left and failing to prioritize the security of the southern border.
That was the context when Paul Lichty on Facebook published McConnell’s home address on January 16, 2019. Wild suggested “someone should take out a billboard,” in response with her personal account. Lichty affirmed the suggestion. Wild then wrote they should rent one in the D.C. suburbs as they’re “close enough to come ‘visit’ him.” Lichty replied with the hope that thousands may descend upon McConnell’s property.
Just a day before this interaction, McConnell had blocked legislation to fund the government and end the partial shutdown from coming up for a vote due to Trump’s promise to veto. He suggested that voting on anything that Trump wasn’t going to sign was a waste of time that should be used for negotiation.
McConnell said the Democrats had a responsibility to negotiate with Trump. Federal workers who were impacted by the shutdown were videoed outside McConnell’s D.C. office. They gave comments to the corporate press which directed Trump to solve the problem.
