CNN Panelist Completely Embarrasses Harris

(ProsperNews.net) – Vice President Kamala Harris was humiliated on CNN when commentator Scott Jennings said she “made up” reasons to attack the school curriculum in Florida. The Sunshine State’s Board of Education approved a new social studies curriculum on July 19 that contained the sentence, “Instruction includes how slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit.” Harris immediately declared that the 219-page document was attempting to justify or sanitize slavery.

The Vice President was in Florida on the week that the curriculum was published and she delivered a speech in Jacksonville describing the DeSantis administration as “extreme.”

“Extremists here in Florida passed a law, “Don’t Say Gay,” trying to instill fear in our teachers that they should not live their full life and love who they love. And now, on top of all of that, they want to replace history with lies. Middle school students in Florida to be told that enslaved people benefited from slavery,” Harris said.

In part of her speech, the Vice President repeated the media-generated falsities about Mr. DeSantis’ Parental Rights in Education Act, which celebrities and mainstream media mischaracterized as disallowing educational institutions saying the word “gay.” In fact, the legislation merely prevents teachers from discussing adult themes with very young children. It was initiated in response to the reality that American children are told there are several genders or are taught about intimate adult acts that are entirely inappropriate for their age group.

Regarding the slavery aspect of the curriculum, Jennings said this was written by African American scholars and merely points to the fact that slaves who learned a trade were better off after emancipation because of that trade. “Everybody involved in this says this is completely a fabricated issue. And yet look how quickly Kamala Harris jumped on it,” Jennings said. On Twitter, he added, “She can read something on Twitter one day and be on an airplane the next to make something literally out of nothing.”
