Biden’s Dog Bit Secret Service Agents Over Two Dozen Times

(ProsperNews.net) – Records show that Joe Biden’s dog has bitten Secret Service members dozens of times. The German Shepherd, named Commander, attacked Secret Service personnel 24 times before officials removed him from the White House.

Newly released documents contain testimony from service personnel describing assaults by the dog. One said an incident occurred while Commander followed President Biden into a White House room, turned around, and bit his arm. “He then stood up and back down. He is literally my height, standing,” the witness said.

The files furthermore reveal that incidents involving Commander occurred at other locations, including Camp David and the President’s home in Delaware.

On several occasions, the dog targeted people’s left arms and sometimes left marks or even drew blood. When Commander bit an agent’s arm and caused injuries so bad that tours of the East Wing were forced to postpone, Secret Service officials wrote to White House staff asking that records be kept of incidents involving Commander. A second email advised staff that the Service was forced to “adjust our operational tactics when Commander is present.”

The agency subsequently supplied its officers with pepper spray, a muzzle, and dog treats.

President Biden sent Commander to live with family last fall, and Jill Biden’s communications director said the dog simply could not adapt to the busy White House environment.

It is the second time the President’s dog has been forced to move out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Major, also a German Shepherd, departed in December 2021 following reports of aggression. The First Lady’s spokesman at the time, Michael LaRosa, said the Bidens had consulted with veterinarians and dog experts and felt it was in the animal’s best interests to move him on to a new home with relatives. Major had been adopted from a rescue shelter and exhibited behavioral problems early on.

The President’s third German Shepherd, Champ, died at age 13 and was described as Biden’s best-behaved canine companion.
