(ProsperNews.net) – President Joe Biden refused to release information about two separate loan agreements involving his brother, James Biden, totaling $240,000. According to the House Oversight Committee, Biden’s refusal to disclose the loan information is another instance of President Biden failing to be transparent during an ongoing scandal involving alleged illegal payments between President Biden and his various family members.
According to James Comer, the Chair of the House Oversight Committee, President Biden received $40,000 from his brother, James Biden, in 2017 through a personal check, indicated as a loan payment. The following year, President Biden received another check from his brother totaling $200,000, also labeled as a loan repayment. Despite the personal checks from James Biden labeling the transactions as loan payments, the details surrounding the loan agreement between President Biden and his brother aren’t being released by the White House.
The House Oversight Committee is actively pursuing leads regarding President Biden’s finances to determine if any illegal payments occurred, prompting the committee to subpoena various members of President Biden’s family. According to Comer, President Biden’s son Hunter is on the list of potential subpoena targets due to Hunter Biden’s extensive business activities in countries like China and Ukraine. Although the House Oversight Committee hasn’t yet subpoenaed any of President Biden’s family members, Comer claims the committee “always planned on” subpoenaing Hunter Biden. Comer says the subpoenas are “imminent” and might materialize in the next couple of days. Comer’s ultimate goal is to have President Biden impeached due to allegations that the chief executive took illicit payments from foreign nationals during his time as Barack Obama’s Vice President.
While President Biden refuses to release the details surrounding his loan agreement with his brother, James Biden, bank records indicate that President Biden sent $240,000 to his brother in two separate payments just weeks before receiving the personal checks for the same amount. The first transfer from President Biden totaled $40,000, and the second totaled $200,000, indicating that James Biden owed the $240,000 he sent to President Biden. The initial payments from President Biden originated from accounts controlled by his attorneys, who also have ties to other members of the Biden family and a business owned by Hunter Biden.
The House Oversight Committee is concerned with the payments between the Biden brothers, with Comer claiming the money sent to President Biden is “laundered” from China. Comer also claims that regardless of the amount exchanged by members of the Biden family, the payments indicate President Biden is profiting from his family while serving as the chief executive. According to the House Oversight Committee, the alleged payments are a conflict of interest that warrants an extensive investigation into President Biden’s finances.
