Biden-Harris Seek to Abolish Supreme Court Independence

(ProsperNews.net) – Vice President Kamala Harris wants to fundamentally alter how the Supreme Court works and will likely push for some sort of major changes if she wins election in November. The Biden/Harris administration has been calling for a major overhaul to the highest court in the land since the landmark overturning of Roe v. Wade resulted in restrictions on the termination of unborn babies in some states where the practice is considered abhorrent.

Corporate press put out an opinion piece which suggested three big changes to the high court which is designed by the Constitution as a check against legislative and executive over-reaches.

The first major change is term-limits for justices. They’re seeking 18-year terms which would regularly allow for the replacement of justices in every presidential term. Justices have had lifetime tenures since the establishment of the country and ratification of the Constitution in 1789. The change would require a Constitutional amendment.

Harris also wants to see the legislature impose a code of ethics on the court which would allow them to regularly malign justices which vote in a way contrary to Democrat policy du jour. Democrats have been attacking conservative justices like Clarence Thomas for gifts he received while in the role while ignoring the same behavior by the left-leaning Sonya Sotomayor for instance. Democratic double standards are the rule (for radicals) not the exception.

They’re also seeking a reversal of the major SCOTUS finding that presidents cannot be prosecuted for official acts while in office, a key protection put in place in the Constitution.

Democrats are enraged that they cannot simply enact their agenda items and most cope with Constitutional restraints. This is the same party that left the border open for years, allowing over ten million illegal immigrants into the country, including known criminals and terrorists.

Most conservatives have called the suggestions wildly unconstitutional and clearly designed to abrogate rulings and punish justices who don’t align with their policy proposals.
