The event, featuring celebrities including Julia Roberts and George Clooney, reportedly boosted the Biden campaign by roughly $28 million. A clip posted to social media shows the two Presidents on stage with a band playing behind them. While acknowledging applause, the President did not move for several seconds until Obama took his arm and led him off stage.
Several social media users commented on the video, including the Republican National Committee, which tweeted, “Biden freezes before Obama grabs his arm and leads him off stage. Yikes!”
Separate posts revealed that the President seemed to verbally stumble while discussing the economy, with some people describing his remarks as “incoherent.”
Similarly, at a Juneteenth celebration in the White House, the President and Vice President Kamala Harris were joined by George Floyd’s brother Philonese, who seemed to shrug the President out of a trance-like state. At the same event, Biden’s speech appeared slurred at times, and he sat while most other attendees danced, including Kamala Harris.
During her speech, Vice President Harris defined the Juneteenth holiday as a day of action to secure and ensure voting rights for all Americans. President Biden signed the federal holiday into law in 2021 to mark the day in 1865 when slaves learned of their emancipation.
Meanwhile, doctors are urging the President to undergo cognitive testing in the wake of a new report. Several White House insiders spoke to media investigators about the President’s behavior behind closed doors and revealed that he often speaks at a volume difficult to hear, uses note cards, and shuts his eyes for so long that his guests wonder if he has nodded off.
Dr. Stuart Fischer, from New York City, believes the President is “long overdue” for cognitive tests but insists on keeping an open mind about the results.
