AOC: Trump Instigated Terrorist Attack on Capitol

(ProsperNews.net) – New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has accused Donald Trump of ordering a “terrorist attack” on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. Speaking to Jake Tapper on CNN’s State of the Union, the controversial left-wing Rep. noted that there has never been a President in American history facing a string of criminal indictments and insisted there is no political agenda. She said the charges against Mr. Trump are a matter of “corruption and criminality.” The lawmaker went on to declare that Mr. Trump “ordered essentially a terrorist attack on the Capital of the United States in order to retain power.”

Ocasio-Cortez concluded that former President Donald Trump is “prone to criminality” and remarked that he is not only facing charges in his home state but also Georgia, Florida, and the federal courts.

The Democratic Rep. is a long-time and outspoken critic and has recently accelerated her warnings about a second Trump White House. In February, she said his victory in November would result in “grave” threats to the future of American democracy. The New Yorker went as far as asserting that there may not be another election if Trump regains access to the Oval Office. On that occasion, too, she accused him of inciting the riots of January 6.

More recently, Ocasio-Cortez urged New York courts to seize Mr. Trump’s real estate assets as he struggles to pay the $454 million fine handed down by Judge Arthur Engoron, who found him guilty of fraud offenses and inflating the value of his assets for investment purposes. Rep. Ocasio-Cortez said that unless assets are seized, there is a “risk” that Trump could engage in corruption to find the cash.

The former President is no fan of the New York lawmaker either, and their feelings are mutual. He has called her “not very smart,” a “poor student,” and declared that she knows “nothing” about the economy—even though she graduated with an economics degree from Boston University.
